Musical, Beer and Many Many Nuggets

Went to watch the matinee of Beauty World yesterday. Tickets were bought sometime back, so we didn't foresee that The Boy would not have finished his reservist in time to catch the musical.

Got r@e to "stand in", as my date for the afternoon. Felt that the show was pretty draggy in the first half, some parts were a little too long. But in general, it was pretty enjoyable, it being peppered with anecdotes of familiar local humour.

Along with Mudgod & Ms P, Mudskipper & C, Ray and Aloy, we ended off the splendid afternoon with a round of beer at Harry's after that.

Or rather, we started the evening early with the beer. Cos we had even more, sake and Asahi at a Jap restaurant along Mohd Sultan over dinner. I can't recall the name of the restaurant - think we were a little tipsy by the end of the night, as you can tell from the HUGE bottle of sake that was finished in one night.

Attempted to play matchmaker as well. Not going to be obvious about who the "victims" were here, haha.

Still, the night didn't end there. It was poker for the boys and mahjong for the ladies after that. By then, The Boy finally joined us, in time to serve the mahjong ladies nuggets from Macs home delivery. Gosh, how I missed him that day!

It's the Dim Sum Dollies!

It was a surprise treat from The Boy. He knew I'd be dying to watch it. We've watched this since their first production "The Revenge of the Dim Sum Dollies" back in 2004, never failing to enjoy every show. So when he whipped out the tickets the night before, I squealed with delight!

We totally enjoyed watching the trio, acting out the contemporary, social issues that are uniquely Singapore with a comical yet incisive approach. Hossan Leong's impersonation skills are hilarious! OH! Go watch it if you haven't!!
