ok...so blogging isnt as easy as it looks! the start's probably the hardest, and thats why i've been staring at the screen with writers block for 6.5 minutes... i think the chelsea - newcastle match might have something to do with it as well.

I guess there's a reason why this marks my foray into the blogging world. Dont be mistaken, I have flirted with blogspot before, in fact, i introduced EJ to this phenomenon. I'm always waiting for the right occasion, or the right event to happen, but i'm always worried that when it actually comes to materializing my thoughts to screen, i'll fail to articulate the moment well enough.

Well, there isn't a better occasion i guess to make this entry.

This 19th November 2005, Saturday night, marks the night EJ and I "e-file" and register our marriage online. I still think such things shouldnt be done ONLINE, this is one situation where i'd rather make an event of it, but i guess you cannot expect less living within a system that tends to celebrate efficiency. Still i think we did well to capture the moment. We have so much material to whip out the next time we feel overwhelmed by the less important things in life and need a reminder of what we're actually living for.

Its amazing how fast things are moving. And how great it feels. Sure there are the few that look at us and secretly judge "sigh..another couple going down the Singaporean route, tying themselves down to commitments, there goes their dreams!" hmmmm... few years back i would have been guilty of that same thought, today, i know... i am living my dream. They say by committing yourself, you necessarily give up the things you always wanted to do....Backpacking around the world, live off what pay you can get through working in random cafes along your travels, date gorgeous women who won't remember your last name in the morning etc etc etc. Thats the opportunity cost.

Dont get me wrong.. i have nothing against following your dreams, if it makes you happy of course. I realise now that settling down and enjoying the fruits of being with the one you love and making a future together far outweighs the temptation of a free-spirited life of non-commital relationships. It has so much more soul. Anyway, these people that do think this way are still hanging around somewhere , still bitching about how out of place they feel in sanitized Singapore, still looking for something that probably wont come, missing out on life as it zips by. Me.. I now have my own Home to come back to every day.

I digress... i tend to...my point is... Today is a memorable milestone..speaking of stones..EJ has a new one to play with. But Today, while important, is just a formalization of the journey. People hype it up because it's almost like the point of no return... I think the point of no return for me was the day i met EJ...because we havent turned back at all.

I'll end off with a picture..and 5 favourite predictions of the future

1) his and her towels
2) Good night kisses
3) Good morning kisses
4) Ridiculous attempts to save electricity costs
5) Heartlander HDB Gym Exercises ( and mop the floor 2 more 1 more..work those biceps )

Yup, exciting times ahead!

And not only the 1 year, the one wedding day will swoosh pass too!

U know how it is, before an event, u keep thinking how it will turn out and before u know it, the event is unfolding itself?
Thats how it is like..seeing your wedding unfold itself before your very eyes and u being a part of it.

Its beautiful and at the same time u ask - did that just happen??

Yes, getting back to work on Wed will be a toughie!
