Arabian Night

We caught up with our friends this evening. It felt so good to take this much awaited break from work; it was a long and tiring week in the office. We arrived early at Ambrosia Divine Pleasures on Baghdad Street, walked a little around the area, promising ourselves to come back another day to further explore this quaint little part of the island we have never ventured before.

If you are looking for a cosy chill-out place to while the evening away with some close friends, Ambrosia is it. The thick Persian carpets, the low tables with big comfy cushions strewn around, the dim intimate lighting and pretty beaded curtains all added to the charm of the place.

It was a gathering to catch up and to celebrate a few birthdays. You realise you are getting older when you feel your legs getting numb from sitting on the floor after a while. The Mediterranean food was great, and the booze that Anni brought along was incredible! Shisha was uh, an interesting experience. Arita had arranged for performances by the belly dancer and wow! The girls were so inspired to take up some lessons. Ok, maybe after we check "salsa dancing lessons" on our list of things to do first.

When it came to time for the birthday people to start opening their pressies, we had a little something from Mogs and Anni too!! They wanted to celebrate our engagement. It was the first gift we have received for that, and we were certainly touched beyond words. They'll always be such a dear couple to us. Thanks Mogs and Anni, you guys are the sweetest! *hugs*

PS: Group shot will come later. It looks like the guys have been left out!
