Spotlight on our Adventure
With the inspiration to test our handicraft skills, by attempting to DIY some touches to our upcoming solemnisation, we went down to Spotlight last evening, for the first time in our lives!
We were overwhelmed by the amazing rows and rows of little pieces of materials, from ribbons to strings to buttons to threads to needles to fabric... they've got everything! We tried to stay focused and not get carried away by our sudden burst of inspiration to do this, do that. I even toyed with the idea of taking up knitting (not!) - they had so many pretty colours!
And of course, in usual Jem manner, we had loads of fun checking out the stuff that's in store...
Check this... its the Prince of Pasir Ris,
Kickin it in Spotlight...Here we go...
Spotlight Spotlight,
The feeling's just right.
Take those threads and knit me something pretty and bright.
Spotlight Spotlight,
Come take a big bite,
we can chill in these aisles from morning till night..
Prince of Pasir Ris.....OUT.

Haha classis pose! Blackmail material. :D
And yup, was always quite tempted to learn knitting, do scrapbookng and EVEN make some clothes, when at Spotlight.
EJ makes it hard to be used as blackmail material when she posts it...ON THE INTERNET!!
What the picture doesnt show are two grannies staring in disbelief. One of them asked for my phone number.
Are you one of those gals that make their own bags from scratch and gets a thrill out of spending as little as possible on materials?
-jem-
Haha maybe I shld have asked if you agreed to have that on the blog instead.
U've got a fan club!
I think its more a case of Prada getting a thrill out of spending as lil as possible on making the bag I bought. Heh.
Haha, I was actually thinking how nice it would be if we could make some curtains, when we were there. Ambitious aren't we?
Yes, the thrill of being able to spend as little as possible is great. Those times of bargaining - it was more important to slash the price as much as you can, rather than the point of getting the product itself!
actually making curtains is possible, apparently..cos his cousin made a set. :P
And my aunt even can make covers for sofa. :P
Somehow that handicraft genes didnt come to me
Hahahaha... neither did that come to me. I never did well in art & craft lessons in school. tsk tsk
Dearest MUDGOD,
Be happy to wear it, if you'll lend it to me again of course. After all, its yours and i borrowed it anyway.
