DOUBLE Reunion!
Part One of our CNY eve: the standard steamboat dinner at my place. The sumptous feast of fishballs and all things steamboatable. Kudos to my mum who has put everything together, through much hard work. Thanks mum, YUM!
The good ol' steamboat that has been with us for as long as I remember having steamboat every reunion dinner, without fail. My dad always has a knack for getting electrical items that last on and on and on and on... forever...
And here's all of us wishing our dearie sista Gong Xi Gong Xi!! You are missing out sista!! (Don't mind the "blur smoky effect" - the fan was blowing the steam into our faces.)
And because we are missing our sista this year... we have difficulty finishing the food...
It was an enjoyable evening. We all had a good time. Food was good. Dad did his usual bouncing fishball thing, the "indestructible test" he called it. We didn't understand why. Anyhow, we confirmed that the gigantic fishballs were good - they bounced quite well.
Dad cleaned up the bottle of red. Lil bro had a hand in that as well. Jem was disturbed why my dad was drinking calsberg after that. Then, it was cleaning up:
Part Two of our CNY eve: 8-course dinner at Jumbo, with Jem's family. By then, we were already feeling really JUMBO. Man! 2 dinners in a row ain't no joke! Lo Hei - you can't miss that.
In addition to the jokes by the Heng family, this little guy amused us the whole night through. We couldn't get a good shot of him, he kept moving too fast!! Anyhow, Baby Samuel is simply adorable. And he sure has grown really fast. It didn't seem too long ago when he was just a tiny newborn!
