PS I Love You

Friday time! It was a surprise evening - The Boy had a change of plans and decided to keep the old boring me company instead. With that, all thoughts of a late night at work were quickly banished. Even then, I still got down to the carpark, where he had been waiting for the last couple of hours, late. Darn. I felt so bad. I always get carried away and too engrossed with work that I lose notion of time, except where timeline related to work is concerned.

Anyhow, deciding to make the best of the evening still, suggested dinner at PS Cafe. Took us a while before we found this casual chic and hip little eatery amidst the tranquil darkness of Dempsey Road. Never realised that there are so many furniture shops here, some specialising in Burmese teak - we made a mental note to return someday soon, during daytime.

The restaurant was full, but we got our seats quite quickly. The Boy had the lamb and I had the fish. Fish was fresh and juicy, laced with a burst of tangy lemon dressing. YUM! The Boy's lamb must have been good too, for he finished up the whole serving in a flash - although I suspected the portion was a tad too small - he's happily having my curry maggi mee now outside in the living room.

Food was good but there seemed to be a teeny bit of tension still, in the air. It always happens when we talk about work. Oh well. I guess it takes a lot, especially for me to dispel of my pride, to give and take. I read somewhere that you don't go into a marriage expecting it to be happy - you have to work hard to make it happy. There's always so much more to learn. Pride is the root of my evil. I will continue to work hard to overcome it.

Oh, walked past the display of devilish desserts on the way out - we'll be back for tea....

Oh I read abt this PS Cafe! Must try it one day, maybe when the crowd thins out. :)

Yea, I think I'm similar too..pride is always a part of everyone. Hmmm....and the waiting bit is a tad familiar.

Is it only us, or are the guys more "relack" about work than the gals? HAH!

silver-crv > thanks! =) But it always starts with sharing about what happens at work, then I get too carried away... tsk... is it a woman thing??

lilsnooze > Welcome back!!! =) Yup, go check out PS cafe one day, quite nice! Heh... I think the great thing about guys is that they don't get too emotionally involved or personal about the work that goes on in the office, and they tend not to let their emotions get the better of them.

We are more, uh, "expressive". Hee.
