HK Part 1 - Food Galore

I'm back. Been MIA for a while, and was thinking how I felt bad having neglected my blog for quite a while now.

It's been an eventful past week. Finished up last day of work at previous place last Wednesday, just started my 2nd day at new place today. In between, took a quick break at the glorious land of food and shopping - Hong Kong!

Went there with a motive of shopping for our wedding stuff as the probation period is 6 months, so wouldn't be able to take time off nearer to date of wedding by then.

One of the greatest draws of this pearl of the orient is its huge offering of excellent food. From delicious "kong zai min" and decadent toast smothered with condense milk, sugar and butter for breakkie, to wonderful noodles with anything everything, to the superb Mango desserts... the experience was just overwhelming. Every break we had, I asked what we could eat next. Gee, I felt as if I put on some kilos over the 4 days!

Here are some contented faces....

I must say that this experiance has made me really accept the fact that girls are the supreme human being ... the Goddess of bargains .... they have the power to make time slow down tremendously. hahahaha

but but ... after all said .... I will definately go back with me gal. but will have to train first ...CHUA

lilsnooze > YAH! the cha chan teng, damn shiok! always having so many things on mind to eat. yum cha at hong seng was really good too!

oh, i love the dumpling noodles - their wantan has prawns stuffed in them, plump juicy prawns. YUM!!

mudgod > oh yes, i was initially worried about the kilos i may be putting on with all that eating. but when i thought of all the KILOS that we walked, i guess it all balances out!! hehehehe mr munchkin was a good sport. except for one point in time when his enthusiasm level fell by a slight notch, when i was wondering if we should try that portugese egg tart...

beanbean > GO! it's well worth a short weekend!!!

Chua > heard you thinking of setting up a blog. How about the nick "the shopaholic king"? didn't know it took 28 years of your life before you realise that we women are such super beings.

go train, my little one. Taka / orchard is good training ground. Heh ;)
