SUITS Him Right
It's finally time for making his suits. After having been neglected, and put as a last priority. Now that I'm waiting for the 1st fitting for my wedding gown, decided it was time for The Boy to make his suits. He kept complaining how it was unfair that I can spend thousands of dollars on a wedding gown and yet I fret about how many hundreds his suit is going to cost. Heh.. unfair right? :D
Going to the tailor's is always an exciting experience. Especially when there's so many types of fabric prints in the shop. So many possible choices. You know you are a true blue bergdorf gal when you are excited about shopping, no longer just for yourself. Even men's clothes get you excited. I was imagining the different shirts we can make for him. Maybe we shouldn't buy off the rack anymore. Maybe we should all start tailoring all our clothes. Imagine how well they will all fit. Imagine how many possibilities there will be!!!!
Ok ok...focus. Here's a peek at him 2 evenings ago, at the tailor's.
In an attempt to look like this? Heh. ;) The collection of pictures at the tailors was quite extensive. But at the end of it, all suits still look quite similar to me. Thank goodness Mudgod was there to help give the "metropolitan point of view". I wasn't as great a help, except when I pointed out how come the discount wasn't accorded in the invoice even though the lady had agreed verbally. Ha.

Haha thats quite a great help wat. Think of the $ saved (for that next bag).Hehe.
Did you have to post 2 pics of the tailor measuring jem's butt? Heheheheh!
Hee... don't remind him about the bag.. ssshhhh.... I hereby promise that there will be NO MORE BAGS for 2006.
Oops, didn't notice his butts. =p
Hey, that's David right? DD got his wedding suit from Tesutti too! :) He has since tailored a number of shirts and trousers there as well. I love the shirt fabrics... :)
beanbean > WELCOME BACK!!! How was the trip? :D
Hey, so we made a good decision to go with Tesutti? We made like 3 sets in a row, yet never actually tried out David's workmanship. But I must say I was very drawn to the shirt fabrics! That got me excited. If only they make ladies' shirts...
the trip was a lot of eating and lazing = good trip? :) will update when i don't feel so zonked...
DD really liked his suit and he gives them the thumbs up :) just don't ask them for too much fashion advice... long story, tell you anor time. but the workmanship was good. frivolous me liked the fact that they put your name on the label like this... hee.
yeah, i asked them too about women's shirts but they said they only do them in a men's cut, which i don't like, so that was out. boo hoo.
Oh wow! And I thought they only put your initials on the cuffs. Ok ok, now at least we feel relieved and good about it. Can't wait to see the suits then!
But yeah, do tell me about the "long story". ;)
They do have a "sister" branch opposite though, did you check it out? Went in for a quick look, saw some nice fabrics. But didn't get down to asking too much cos was very soon "summoned" back into Tesutti cos I went away to "see see look look" for too long.. =p
sister shop? great! I nvr could find l/s shirts that fits!
have have! when i go next, i'll get the name and number of that shop for you!
oh, i guessed the shop opposite was related cos the uncle came over to measure the trousers, but do they do ladies shirts? *excited*
or lilsnooze, maybe you can try CYC's shirts?
yes, they do ladies' shirts as well. What's the pricing like for cyc?
ok ok, i'll find out more the next time we go down! =p
Actually I dont really wear shirts lah. Always thot I look weird in them.
CYC sounds exp leh. no?
it depends on the material i think. around $70-80 plus and more? but tailoring shirts is about the same i think...
