What's Baking?
Started the day early today with a whole morning at Goodrich, the wallpaper warehouse. They have a huge collection and some of the papers were just gorgeous! Although the selection was tough, we finally made our choices in the end.
Met up with Mudgod and Ms P in the evening. Jem mummy took Blackster, so for the first time in ages, we felt quite liberated to roam the streets of Orchard shopping belt without a car!!! We took a bus from Tangs down to Cuppage - Jem got quite nervous, trying to recall if he still has his Transitlink card. But he paid cash in the end - check out the bus ticket.
Dinner was Japanese, at Wagayu. Quite a spread we had. Even got a couple of cooking tips from Mudgod. For Mudgod and Ms P, it's role reversal. He is the one who does the cooking and loves the shopping. But must also give some credit to Ms P, so yes, she did cook him a nice little steamboat dinner that day she was on leave. (I'm saying this to cover my arse.) Back to cooking tips, thanks Mudgod. Will definitely try out your salt-baked fish and butter herb stuffed chicken when I get my oven.
Speaking of oven, anyone has a good recommendation? Still quite undecided which to get - Electrolux? Ariston? Belling? Stainless steel finish? But think stainless steel finishing leaves marks, especially water marks. This black one looks cool.

yes!not driving to town is a good idea...u dont have to worry about venturing too far away from where the car is parked! Hehe.
btw, its no longer called transitlink ok, its EZlink now! Haha
mudgod's recipe sounds good eh.sorry no help for the oven cos I aint got one. mine's doubled with the microwave.
Yah, it is EZlink, but Jem still thought it was transitlink! Heh...
mudgod > from the looks of it, i don't think so. Haven't exactly come across an oven with a matt finishing before. don't even know where to find this black one to begin with. you know?
the choices at goodrich are just endless... you managed to make all your selections in one sitting? That's quite an achievement :P
beanbean > heh, it was helpful that we kinda knew what we were looking for. so it was more zooming into the choices left. but i did get quite distracted as well, and had many times deviated from our original preference.
