Pasta Mania

We had Mogs over for lunch on Sunday. Time to finally use those food stuff we bought last weekend at Cold Storage. First, we started cutting up the capsicum, mushrooms, garlic and chicken. I wanted to cut up the carrots The Boy picked up, although I was wondering why we were having carrots in our pasta, only to be told he actually wanted them for the fruit juice.... hee.

It's been a while since I've done any cooking, so was a little lost and "rusty". Nontheless, we had fun. The Boy heated up the garlic bread and the sea shanties. They didn't turn out as crispy as he said they should. I've never had sea shanties before, but I thought they tasted really good! Thus, sea shanties shall be a regular item on the Jemej grocery shopping list henceforth! A little while later, just as Mogs stepped into the house, lunch is served. Voila! A simple meal for a first attempt.

It's been a while since we've caught up with Mogs. It was really good catching up. Over a cuppa, he brought us through his trip with Anni to Latvia, Lithuania and of course Germany. Beautiful pictures, beautiful places they visited! Now we are inspired to make a trip there ourselves. Ok, next year, after honeymoon, after NZ...

By the way, did I mention that The Boy laughed at me for putting the Sara Lee cake in the freezer? But I read the instructions, it did say "Store at or below -18 degrees" what....

Great idea! But we don't have the toaster oven. Only microwave or oven. Oven should be better I guess. Just that i thought it was a bit big for 6 tiny pieces of sea shanty.

Thai sweet chilli sauce - good, next grocery shopping trip.

Ahahahaha.. so i'm not alone with the sara lee thing.

Tableware got them for a pretty good deal - from robinsons. :)
