How's Work - Housework

This is the 2nd Saturday we have our part-time cleaning lady over. She's a recommendation from r@e, was her old neighbour for 10 years. r@e calls her "AHA Auntie". She's about our mothers' age. Very kind and friendly auntie.

We had been borrowing Jem-mummy's maid for a while, though it's not the right thing to do. But amidst all that wedding prep, and honeymoon thereafter, there was absolutely no time to settle down and get our household matters in order. Now, post-wedding, we are finally getting round to it.

First up, the windows. For the first time, Auntie has helped us cleaned those long-neglected windows! Boy, I'm damn thrilled by it. *beams*

Next, the washing machine was finally put to action. I washed the Jemej laundry in the Jemej home FOR THE FIRST TIME since we moved in months ago!! Although it was a total of 3 towels, a pair of socks, and a couple of undergarments. Yes, and you will be asking me HOW COME YOU PUT THE SOCKS WITH THE TOWELS????? I didn't know what. Now I do. *grins*

Wow your bedroom has so many parts! And you wear so nice to do laundry...:P

Wait till its "full load"...you have to think of separating the whites/colours/blacks and delicates (and not wasting water). Laundry washing is science by itself!

lilsnooze > Our bedroom was a combination of 2 rooms. I had to make space for more wardrobes la.

No no, hahaha, we were going out, so decided to throw the laundry into the washing machine first. By the time we come back, the washing will be done, and can be hung up. Uhm, is that not the right way, to leave your laundry in the machine for too long??

shuenie > bet you didn't know too, HA! =p

beanbean > Yes, I was finally convinced by all you gals. It was scary at first, then it became tedious. So much so I dozed while doing it, cos all the html codes were making me drowsy. hee

No worries about the part-time cleaner gal! :)

silver-crv > Thanks! We let them down every night when we switch on the air-con. There are 2 units in this room, but turning on both would be wasteful. So the curtain will keep the air-conditioning within our bedroom section.

hahaha, cos the socks smaller, so can be easily overlooked!! How often you guys do the laundry?

candice > sure sure! I'll arrange afternoon tea someday, and you gals can come over!

silver-crv > Wow, twice a week! Ok I suppose we'll figure it out along the way. Heh, will bear in mind your advice about leaving the laundry in the machine for too long, thanks!! :)
