The Weekend
Why do weekends always seem so short? Saturday didn't start till late afternoon, not after a morning distraction by prada & miu miu work, and some housework. We headed to Chinatown/Maxwell - we love browsing through all the little boutiques along Erskine Road, Club Street, Ann Siang Hill etc., the little walks along the quaint shophouses.
And it was not before a little snack at Maxwell Food Centre - haven't had this Foochow Oyster Cake aka U.F.O., for a long time. It was hmmmm... yums!
Spotted this big box of cushion covers at Egg3 - it's a huge matchstick box with the words "Perfect Match" - such a cute and ingenious one!
Dinner, a very late one, was comfort food - steamboat. Incidentally, this was the first time there were only 2 of us having steamboat together. And boy, it sure was a lot for 2 people!!!

Yes yes the shops at club St are very interesting!
Steamboat for two...can't have as much as you want right?
And most of the people in the shops were very artsy type - with all their clothes and all. We felt like plain regular peter & jane in t-shirts, slippers & berms. Hahaa.
Haha, yes, the selection was definitely less than desired, but no choice, cannot over-order.
actually i often force DD to have steamboat for 2 with me... and we eat quite our fill, so i guess we just eat alot! :P i just love steamboat! DD's not that keen on boiled food though.
haha, same same!! I love steamboat - but Jem would prefer his fried stuff, meat and more meat, any other time!
Aiyah, let's just have steamboat, you and me one day. The boys can be their own carnivores. heh
