Some Like It Hot
The Boy has fallen ill, down with a bad sore throat and slight fever. Poor thing. Decided to make him some fish porridge for dinner this evening.
Rushed back from work, took some fish from Heng-papa, "kope" some ginger slices from the cze char auntie at East Coast Lagoon from which Heng-mummy was buying dinner from, and soon the fish porridge was bubbling away in the pot. Confession: This is my FIRST ATTEMPT ever at making porridge, any kind of porridge. And boy, was I pleased when The Boy, at the first mouthful, said, "I'm feeling better already".
He licked clean the entire bowl, and exclaimed that he has never in his life finished an entire bowl of fish porridge till today. Well, I enjoyed cooking it, guess this will be one of the regular eats for dinner from now.
In appreciation for his appreciation, I made him a card. Hey, today's the first day of GSS afterall, and I traded it for some nice together time at home. :D

well done you! both the cooking and the card! did you draw that? wow! i can't draw for nuts. DD absolutely REFUSES to eat porridge. i've tried many times unsuccessfully to convince him to eat some when he's sick. heh.
uh, you mean the picture inside the card - the man with flying dollar and lady with rack of clothes? that was cut out from yesterday's ST guide to GSS la babe. I can't draw for nuts. Hehehe ;)
maybe DD will change his mind when YOU cook it for him. Let him taste it first, he can't say no!! :D

Remind him its also savings, from sales/discounts/rebates etc.
