Birthday Celebrations
The Heng family checked out Tam Kah Sharks' Fin Restaurant, along Smith Street, yesterday. I'm not the biggest fan of sharks' fin, I can do without it. Honestly, it's tasteless. It's the soup that carries all the flavours. But I guess the idea of having all the 好料 within the claypot, alongside the fish maw (another tasteless stuff) and sea cucumber (yet another tasteless stuff), is something that symbolises prosperity and celebration - it was to celebrate the birthdays of Heng-daddy and Jason.
Since the last time we saw Baby Julian, he has grown a lot! At only 2-over months, he's already 7kg! Most people are amazed at how chubby he is, he's absolutely adorable!! And he has a very powerful scream. :)
Always proud to have such a cool (and loving) FIL - The Boy bought a similar pair of Ray Bans because he thought his dad looks so cool with it. And he can't wait to have that head of white, Richard Gere-like hair too - it runs in the family - their hair become silvery white. And it develops at a pretty early stage in life - Jason has got quite a lot already! Well, at least balding does not run in the family. Thank goodness.

Alamak! 7kg at 2months? The mommy can build her biceps and triceps just by carrying him around.
hate fish maw! wj's niece is only like 5+kg at 2 months. but prolly cos shes a girl.

domesticrat > exactly! they are saying that it's like carrying a sack of rice around. plus he cannot be carried still, he needs you to swing him, pat him, bounce him, whatever else - you cannot keep still while carrying him. in this way, they say it's a great form of exercise!!! ;)
tiffany > ya! I think that's the average weight for babies that age. His dad was a chubby baby, so maybe the son is taking after him! :D
haha, my FIL also has a full head of white/grey hair! :) I agree that it is better than being bald. Not sure which way the Hubs will go, but will love him all the same ;)
Think they'll follow their dads. :D
