Did You Ever Know That?!

I made a major discovery today, while I was accounting my saga of the aircon condenser to the BBs at work.

I filed a complaint to HDB, against the neighbour directly upstairs, at the topmost level. Their aircon condenser has been dripping water onto ours, making very loud "dak dak dak dak" noises for a long time now, almost since the day we moved in.

Why haven't we done anything about it till now, you may ask. Well, we did try to tell them initially, when I was very disturbed by it. The splashing water droplets not only make very loud noises especially at night, they also wet my window. We went upstairs to "confront" them first. It was a Malay family, so they couldn't understand what we were saying. Or maybe they were pretending?? We had a hard time describing it by pointing here and there.

No improvement thereafter.

We went up a few times subsequently, but they never opened their door again. So we had to resort to writing "nasty" letters. We tried to drop them into their letterbox, but the flap to their letterbox was always shut tightly. How does the postman ever get letters to them, I wonder?!

It was then, the BBs said, "But the postman puts the letters into your mailbox from behind what. The front flap is usually locked to prevent spam mail."

G-A-S-P! I never knew that! And always, I was wondering why there is a lock to the flap. The Boy, in his explanation, said that maybe because locking the flap would keep lizards out. Right.

So there, we just discovered the fact that we CAN reduce the amount of junk mail and leaflets in our mail lor!!! After all these while can!!!!
