Looking Forward

It has been crazy times these days, with the momentum building up towards the festive season. Was mentioning to The Boy the other morning on our way to work, that the stress is piling on. Especially with the numerous groups of friends we are planning to have over for Christmas, all the cooking, cleaning and all.

He said, "Wah, not bad what. It seems like you don't have much stress at work, to be thinking about what to cook for Christmas." To which I replied, "EXCUSE ME! I'm a woman, I've got MULTIPLE roles ok!"

Tsk. Men, what do they know about the different roles we women have to play? To be wife, career woman, daughter, daughter-in-law, and for some, mother, all at once? We do everything, from taking care of the home to managing our work. The involvement never stops from the moment we wake up. No time to "relak one corner" like the boys. Double tsk.

Anyway, my calendar's almost full already, with the countless number of events, meetings, parties. Work and social. I feel tired looking at them already.

Gosh, I'm looking forward to January already.

Totally agree on the multiple roles! Household management is under-rated! :P

we are full-time multipurpose women! unlike men, our brains don't exist in nicely segmented blocks and we are able to go across different issues all at once.

i once asked ed why he couldn't do something faster and listed other options. his response was, "wah lau why you women think so much about one thing?" in the end, he used one of my many options to resolve the issue. MEN!!

silver-crv > haha, for parents, how can it be chaotic, when you have such a cute little one? it's the best christmas gift. :)

pei fen > hahaha, he really did that?? yah, we women always think "more complicated", according to our men. But we always go, "see i told you so!" at the end of the day. :D
