Mad Lunch
The Boy had overnight duty on Saturday and only managed to book out the next day. We decided to check out Mad Jack at Simpang Bedok for lunch.
I had the Fish & Chips while he tried the Steak. His steak was really yummy. But I didn't think very much about the Fish & Chips, which was supposedly their signature. I thought the taste of the flour came through stronger than the sweetness, or rather the lack of, of the fish. The portion of fries wasn't as generous as Botak Jones'. Frankly, I think Botak Jones is so much better, cheaper somemore!
But we had the A&W Root Beer - it has been ages since we've seen the can. The taste was simply, ooooooh, nostalgic! On the account of the yummy steak, root beer and refreshing juices of green apple & celery, we'll be back. But not before we have our fill of the Mee Pok across the road first.

havent tried Mad Jacks but do like Botak Jones. especially since its quite near me :P

Nah dont think so. BUT I just ordered rootbeer candrinks for CNY!! :)
Anyway, need the mug then authentic mah!
Huh? can still get meh? from where? NOt that we'll be having many visitors, if any, over CNY.
