Where There's Always A Reason

We've been eating a lot since the beginning of the festive holidays. And it didn't end there.

On the first day of the New Year, since it's the first day of the New Year, we had a nice quiet dinner at Sun with Moon. Still think the tofu cheesecake looks sad in a bird cage.

Last evening, since it's the first weekend of the New Year, since it's the weekend before The Boy goes into camp officially (last couple of days was the briefing), we checked out Brasserie Wolf, one of the not-so-new-by-now French restaurants that we've been wanting to try.

Menu consisted quite a number of French classics, a few of which I was taught at Palate Sensations during the basic French cooking course.

Food was great - he loved his Duck l'Orange while I had to try the Chicken in Red Wine with Tagliatelle. He exclaimed that their Chicken in Red Wine had a familiar taste, as good as the ones he's always had - which I presume were the ones I've always cooked. :D

Totally enjoyed the starters of French Onion Soup and half dozen of Escargot with Herb Butter - all worries about the extra calories were thrown out of the window then.

Start the new year the gastronomic way, yes, put on those few more kilos. I know I'll regret that later. But for now, there's always a reason to indulge!! ;)

Try Zone at Raffles City, quite sure they have! Or pantry magic at holland v.

Gosh, I wouldn't dare to do this at home - looking at the snails in their most basic form would probably kill my appetite for them henceforth!! =p

jx > for 2 of us, on top of the food you see, we had 2 glasses of wine, no desserts, total bill was about $140. Yup, prices quite high actually.

michelle > oooh, sounds good, never tried! I do find the food quite ex!
