Where the Sun Sets
After an "out of this world" day of wakeboarding in the rain, The Boy picked me up from Punggol to have dinner at an out of this world location - Sunset Grill & Pub, well hidden inside Seletar Airbase.
It wasn't easy to find, we made many circles round this quaint neighbourhood - yes, I didn't realise that there is actually a community of people living here! - before we finally found the gem.
The eatery is right next to the runway of Seletar Airbase. Here, we saw private jets taking off intermittently, against a soft sunset.
We had our beers......
With pretty good breaded mushrooms, prawns, fries and the buffalo wings. There were 10 levels of spiciness for the buffalo wings and we bravely took #4. I started to feel faint halfway through, not sure whether it was due to my fatigue from the wakeboarding, or the beer or the super spiciness of the wings. We couldn't imagine any one ordering #10 - that's pure madness lor!!
After dinner, we took a walk around to see the place. It was pretty surreal, to see aircrafts with propellers, as if we were in some war movie (and those communities outside were the wives of the pilots who had gone to war).
Nothing "artistic" about this red/white barricade. The Boy had wanted me to take a shot of him jumping over this, and because my camera was not fast enough, all I took was just the barricade. He was pretty disappointed to see that not even his leg was captured in the shot.
When it was time to head back, I was really tired and too lazy to walk. So I "hitched a ride" and hopped onto The Boy's back! Whoever said it was easy to be my husband?

Just reading about the buffalo wings is making my throat even more sore!
candice > I kinda regretted the #4! Next time maybe we'll try #2? You don't usually take too spicy stuff?
Chloe > haha, yup he should think about that when he's paying my credit card bills as well :D
lilsnooze > oh dear, your throat still bad? Take the pi pa gao! Or try the Korean lemon honey, works wonders!
it depends on the type of chilli too, i guess. i prefer my buffalo wings with the tangy sauce!
