Work Saturday

Was on duty yesterday - it sure sucks to be working on a Saturday, right smack in the middle of Orchard, while the rest of the world is happily shopping around you.

The Boy was sweet enough to come over and have dinner with me. Decided to have local food at an altitude - Chatterbox on level 38/39. Think he enjoyed the Lobster Laksa and my Char Kway Teow tremendously.

Not doing my "work" of PR here, but really, these 2 items are very noteworthy, especially the Char Kway Teow. Some may say that the prices are too expensive for local food, but I guess it sort of justifies paying the extra buck, given the quality of ingredients and serving portions.

But if any one has a differing opinion from a previous visit, feel free to let me know! :)

Hi! I "wandered" here from Peifen's. Been reading your blog on and off. :) I ate at Chatterbox on Friday night and would just like to leave u some feedback.

My husband and me both had Chicken Rice. No problem with the food and the prices. The serving of chicken could easily be 3 times what we would get at a foodcourt. So it's not really expensive. But I do think the service could be improved. Eg. a foreign waiter who didn't speak much english, water glasses not refilled w/o prompting and as we left, not even a "goodbye" or "goodnight" from the hosts standing by the stairs. The food was nice but service not so great. Just thought I'd let you know since you conincidentally posted abt Chatterbox. :)

karma chameleon > wahaha, see you then! ;)

elaine > yeah, he's always full of funny faces. the seafood char kway teow has scallops and fish, so quite nice. :)

sereneng > Hi! Thanks for coming by! :) Yeah, admittedly, the service does seem to be erratic at times, not as consistent as we would wish for it to be. Will certainly run this by the team, thanks for sharing! :)

wenz > Haha, like they say, it's "branded" chicken rice! :D
