Mama Mia !
where do you think we went today? If you said "the esplanade", i would have replied ABBAthen!!
That's right, tonight the whole family ( Jen and EJ included of course) went to watch the musical production of Mama Mia.
We all met at the esplanade at about 630pm and went to Thai Express for dinner. It was quite exciting as I don't think my family has ever gone to watch a musical together before. We have lovely EJ to thank for this night because she got us the tickets. Swissotel is the official hotel for the production. I will also subsequently give myself a pat on the back as well -- since i recently found out that i would be paying for all the tickets. God Bless the man who created the idea of the supp card. I dont want to complain but...MAMA MIA...HERE I GO AGAIN..
The singing was fun, not the flawless renditions you usually get at musicals, but this was forgivable given the nature of the show. The story revolved around the protagonist Sophie and her marriage to her husband, with the use of the wedding on an island as a prop to find her real father, who happens to be one of three men Sophie invited unknowst to her mum. The result is of course a series of twist and turns ( quite literally ) as the cast showcased their boogie woogie, The climax of the show was very refreshing as everyone in the theatre got up and clapped in unison, although some not in beat, with the music and danced along!!
Anyways it was a great night out!!! Happy Wednesday. I found that my baby is a D.A.N.C.I.N.G Q.U.E.E.N, and i will be practising the moves for quite a while..
