the weekend

ok, random post tonight because EJ's busy with some work and i'm left to find something to occupy myself with. Gonna write bout our weekend.

FRIDAY
Friday night started off rather late, as EJ had to stay at work till late. Geez, sometimes it seems she's the one with all the work to do huh. And i feel so much for her. Poor thing, working so hard to provide!! We drove home to catch the results of Singapore Idol, that's right, i'm one of those drawn to the show. i think its curiosity rather than the the talent thats the hook. Anyway, we bid goodbye to Jerry, who was probably the popular choice to be dismissed. Feel kinda sorry for him because compared to most, he can probably hold a tune better than most. But i liked the way he dealt with it, it's gotta be hard knowing you are the one most likely to be booted off, yet keep a straight and enthusiastic face throughout the competition. But anyways, after the show, we headed to PASIR RIS FISHERMAN's VILLAGE for dinner where we pigged out over some ribs and seafood by the beach. We also had Erdinger to wash our dinner down with. Its a really nice place and the atmosphere is pretty good. Although i think they tend to overdo it with the Top 40 Love Songs CD on repeat. But overall, another great night. We had an early night on friday, because the week had been rather hectic, and we wanted to rest for the weekend.

SATURDAY
Now this was a great day. Absolutely the toughest sport known to man. SHOPPING!! and lots of it. EJ stumbled upon some nice clothes at Holland Village and i told her to just go for it because it's kinda rare you get these "moments". I know, who would have guessed? me urging her on!! Oh ya...and we bumped into Olinda Cho, her favourite contestant on Singapore Idol!! The one she secretly has a crush on i think. And then, we had a quick and light lunch because there was some place we wanted to be. SCONES and TEA at Fosters. That was wonderful. It was truly one of those days where conversations seemed to last forever even though time passes by so quickly and we were so into each other. We went to Taka after that where bith she and my mum surprised me by offering to buy me an expensive gift for my birthday. I didn't accept the offer though, for my own personal reasons. But, i have to say, the thought itself was the best gift i could ever ask for. I also bought a work bag, and a folder...and EJ bought another skirt. Then there was the YOGA thing, where we were approached to join a "TRUE YOGA" club. Tony, who was selling the club's benefits to us shared quite a bit of his lifestory with us, the accuracy of which i'm not so sure, but he was rather credible and very business savvy. Just like Yoga, his payment plans and membership options were very flexible, and he played a scene where it looked like he had a customized option for us no matter what we wanted. After that, we watched "SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW" with Mogs and Anni.

SUNDAY
Church. Late. Was a rather slow day. we decided to take things a little easy. There were some form of irritations that popped up during the day such as the still problematic leaking toilet and stuff like financial concerns and pimples. Lunch at Glory, then on for more shopping in town. i bought a shirt and berms from project Shop, and EJ shopped for a bikini.

So here we are, i'm sorta watching the bachelorette peripherally while blogging. Gonna have as early a night as possible before Monday blues kick in.
