U-bin There?

2 munchkins 2 years old!

Yes, we are two today. It being a special day, I finally got the perfect reason to go Pulau Ubin! It is such an idyllic little island, with the people being so genuinely warm and friendly. The "poot poot" boat ride was quite an experience. I watched in fascination (and anxiety) as the boatman's assistant, who collected the fares from us, weaved in and out about the boat (while the boat was zipping at high speeds across the waters) with ease.

Lunch was yumskies. Piping hot hor fun and mee goreng, washed down with refreshing soya bean and chin chow, all these with sea-front view, we've only just begun...

On the bikes, we rode along side by side on the well-paved paths, passing many a rustic huts. It was such a delightful afternoon, with so much nature and old charm surrounding us, it was literally "balek kampong". When the message tone of the mobile phone went off, it felt really strange and out of place. The message tone simply didn't belong to this setting!

The cycling was long and tiring, especially when it came to riding up slopes, but the sights we were taking in along the way more than made up for it. We were having a wonderful time!

Dinner was at porta porta - the place where Our Journey begun exactly 2 years ago. Time flies....We thought back to how we first met during the meeting for Tiger Skins - I was the only lady in the boardroom amongst an entourage of 6 APB boys, and my boss. Subsequently, the correspondences and liaising to get our merchandise ready for the tournament, the numerous screw-ups along the way....Haha, we never fail to tease each other about it... heh....

The past couple of years has made us understand each other very well, the challenging times we went through trying to understand and accept our individual differences. The Journey ahead will continue to hold many challenges for us (life isn't a bed of roses as we wish it to be) but I know we have the Jemej rule of thumb in place to bring us through it all. Most importantly, Our Father who holds it all together, will see us through.
