Dinner Time!
We have not moved into our new munchkin habitat yet, although the place has been cleaned once, twice, thrice over. Nonetheless, the Jemej invited our parents over during National Day for dinner - nope, the Domestic Goddess didn't cook. She wasn't ready to "christian" her beloved kitchen - as yet. Looking at our dining room, realised that it has come a long way, having started out this way:
When the renovation started, this little corner of the house started to evolve...
When the furniture from Myanmar arrived, this was one of our prided joy. We had prayed hard that this would turn out nice, that the embedded mother-of-pearl would be uh, mother-of-pearl.
And finally, here we have it - the dining place that the Jemej's first guests had yummy soon kuehs, sotong balls and chicken wings over National Day dinner, alongside with Chandelier Numero Dos.

lilsnooze > akan datang!
Mother of pearl was a really nice touch. The rest of the furniture "same range" - but overall, getting these teak furniture from Myanmar was really only 1/2 the price compared to here and workmanship's good. So actually, quite worth the money! :)
silver-crv > yours also nice, just different concepts! :)
ooo, i likey you dining set :) never thought of going to myanmar to buy furniture... sounds like a v good idea! must ask you for contacts!
Heh, yeah, the workmanship is excellent, for half the price! But you must order enough to fill, almost a container. Go visit myanmar, it's beautiful. :)
