What's for Dinner?

Gosh, it has been a while since the last entry. Busy times these days.

Anyhow, the Munchkins had dinner out this evening, for our "decompression" time. This week has seemed like such a long one, so long that we've been "away from each other". Yes, we see each other everyday, but still, we have been deprived of the emotional closeness, the quality time. I have been so tired out from work, the "drama" at work actually. Sigh, some people can get really psychotic in their bid to climb the corporate ladder.

Ok back to my topic "What's for Dinner?". Moving in next Saturday, which is an "auspicious" day according to my dad. I'm most excited about the kitchen, have been happily stocking it up with all those equipment that I've always dreamt of having. The Munchkins have also been debating about what to cook. The Boy claims that he used to cook quite well during his Perth days, some of his specialties being Sweet & Sour Pork and Rice. Ok, so this is what he will be cooking next time:

And for The Girl... I've just bought 3 cookbooks by Leong Yee Soo - Hearty Meals, Hot & Spicy and Teatime Favourites - me can't wait to start!

oh, i have the "hot & spicy" book too! :) have yet to try the receipes though. my favourite book is "dad & co", co-written by pauline dawn loh the food writer. their soup receipes are super similar to my MIL's so i figured they knew what they were talking about!

happy moving in!

lilsnooze > It's the "official" move but then again, we are not really ready to move in, still too much to pack! Yeah, can't wait to bake/cook - it's been a while, rusty already.

pillo > Heh, when i "master" my skills, you will be sure to get a tea time invite from da hengs! Heh.

beanbean > Really? I must go check out that recipe book too! Maybe we can set up a blog for sharing household tips and recipes in time to come, haha!
