"Pre-Housewarming"
Haha, if there is ever such a sense of word. Had the guys over this evening - Mudgod & Ms P, Mudfairy & Pam, Mudskipper & Chrystal, Mr Security and Shawn. We wanted to have a little gathering before Mudgod leaves for work in Beijing next week. We won't be seeing him till the weekend of our wedding so he demanded a pre-departure "briefing" as well.
At the Munchkin Habitat - the ktichen is not fully equipped and ready to take the onslaught of my cooking yet, so I decided it was potluck for all. Took a walk in the supermarket the other day, and got the inspiration to prepare sushi. So started the saturday morning doing grocery shopping, followed by some cleaning up at the house, then back to Heng-mummy's home to make the sushi. By 7.20pm, I was exhausted, but happy I still haven't lost "my touch". Sushi turned out great.
Contributions from the rest - Mudgod & Ms P with their tomato-based pasta (not forgetting his innovative baked coconut flakes as topping), Mudfairy & Pam with spicy meat balls, Mudskipper & Chrystal with kebabs, Mr Security with bah kut teh and Shawn with fried rice. Quite a mix of various cuisines, but we enjoyed the food tremendously!!
We even got our "housewarming" gift from Mudfairy & Pam. I'm sure The Boy and I would run out of things to do one day, and take this out to play! Heh.
To top off the evening, we had the supper yummy choc-banana cake from Awfully Chocolate, which The Boy went out to get whilst I was busy rolling my sushi. Thanks for a wonderful evening guys, we most certainly look forward to having you at the Munchkin Habitat soon!

I had the banana choc cake too! :)
Seems like more food posts to come along!
why didn't you show your sushi? :) one day must ask you to teach me how to make...
lilsnooze > Yeah, nice right? But I like the "lana" cake from Jane's Cake Station at Jln Kayu better. Yup yup, more food posts - showing successful attempts hopefully! haha
beanbean > Oops, I realised I forgot to take a pic of the sushi, while I was posting this. Okie, we exchange recipes - you teach me Italian risotto and me show you sushi! But the sushi is actually very simple lah. ;)
