Kitchen Confidential

New hobby: Stocking up da kitchen. With various gadgets and equipment that I think I know I will be using.

New favourite section of the shopping mall: Household department.

Stumbled upon the wooden, country-style rack that holds herbs and spices - something that I've always wanted all my life. Being able to finally have my own space to stock up on all kinds of herbs and spices - now that was sweet. I didn't wait too long before I hopped on down to Cold Storage to get those cute bottles of herbs. The rest of the equipment was just as exciting - and the looks are important. Love my set of measuring spoons.

Stumbled upon a set of knives on sale at a good bargain - the knives that I've always wanted all my life. Never used to like those that we use at home. They were never sharp enough. And my grandma always uses the same knife for everything - mixing fruits & veg with onions, with meat. Yikes, no. Frying slice was important too, and this WMF one was too good to resist.

As for the rice cooker - here's what we got in the end. The CD player-looking ones are too modern for me. Too much tecnology for a self-proclaimed techno-bimbo like me. And of course - the fridge. The fridge that I've always wanted all my life. :)

Just cleaned my oven over the weekend. Turned it on for the first time, to "warm it up". Okie, baking equipment is next on the shopping list.

I thought of the one with water dispenser. But practicality took over - the water dispenser isn't easy to maintain. So, yes, "lazy" is the reason too :)
