Along Bukit Timah

It has been a hectic, tiring week, both of us have been working late every other day. So dinner at Corduroy & Finch was a really good time for us to catch up and spend some good quality time by ourselves. I've been wanting to check out C&F for the longest time (yes, I'm so slow!), having heard pretty good reviews about the place, so I was really excited about it as well.

From the tomato and french onion soups to his sirloin steak and my duck (which was really tender), AND the wicked warm chocolate pudding, we totally enjoyed every bit! Could even feel the crunch of the tiny vanilla beans in the accompanying scoop of vanilla ice cream - which lent a very nice added texture to the creamy number. Even the coffee was superbly aromatic.

You can't see - but there was my ex-F&B director from my previous hotel, in the kitchen behind me - he now co-owns this place. Still remember my first ever written press release on mooncakes which I sent in for his approval, years ago - I couldn't "write gourmet" for nuts. *shudders*

Hee,I've not tried this place too. Always daunted by the crowd and the lack of adequate parking.
