The Weekend: Short & Sweet
Today was an entire day of 12 hours spent at work. So weekend practically ended for me yesterday.
While we spent most of yesterday vegging out at home, I felt it was a weekend well spent nonetheless. Especially when we made a short trip out to Emerald Hill where Ci-tea by Sparkle Thots was and managed to:
1) Cut through the MRT station, where we realised we haven't quite taken the MRT together very much; take a lovely walk through the rows of charming Peranakan houses along Emerald Hill, where we started dreaming of living here one day....
2) Catch up with the creative brains behind Sparkle Thots, and of course, her baby Jayden and his proud daddy.
3) Marvel at how much Jayden has grown, since the first day that he was born, and I carried him!!!
Even managed to squeeze in some time to have dinner, albeit a quick one, with Sista Sponge. Jem the brader-in-law and her further bonded over a beer while I continued my work in the office. From her, The Boy heard a lot more "adventures" that we sisters had when we were kids. As I recall how naughty we were, the things we did were absolutely hilarious. No wonder they always say, "Growing up is painful!"

I walked up and down emerald hill everyday for years. DD and I dream of buying one of the shophouses too - maybe one day we'll be neighbours! Haha.
Awwwww that would be absolutely cool right!!! They are so quaint. But why were you walking up and down the lane everyday?
I want to join the neighbourhood! I fell in love with the area some time last month when I first dropped by the shop. Its so quaint and yet so "in the city".
thanks for coming jemej! :) think the last two shots were of Jayden looking up at Jem.
yes yes, let's!!! wouldn't that be so cool?!
Anyway, glad we went by, otherwise, i wouldn't have chanced upon some little treasures! ;)
no leh, the first shot of Jayden looking into the camera, that was moi! :D
i lived in cairnhill for 10 years up to the last year of uni - walking through emerald hill was the fastest way to get to orchard road, and the nearest mrt station :)
you mean, the "adventure" of YOU running away from home and dragging ME along?
TSK.
I never forgave you for destroying my goodstanding reputation.
(lol)
