Chronicals of Narnia
I first watched The lion, the witch and the wardrobe way back in primary school. It was the cartoon version and we were at sunday school catholic retreat. From then, the religious context had already been set for me so i never got to comprehend the story as simply a fantasy escape. You could say the ending was told and explained in detail to us even before the cartoon was even screened. Bad move in my opinion. Kids will find their own interpretations, and they'll no doubt be much more interesting ones.
I enjoyed watching Narnia because i enjoy watching movies. I hear its been getting its fair share of criticism with Disney's methods for promoting the film. I just hope people will come to their own interpretations, and allow others to come to theirs. Especially parents. Narnia shouldnt be an excuse just so you can bring your kids to learn about biblical stories because you're too lazy to create your own Narnian christian allegories. Kids relate to stories and imagination. Set the scene for them, but they'll create the rest. So should we actually.
It's an entertaining story though. I found the sacrificial scene a wee bit disturbing and the demonic characters are really re-hased orc costumes. Not a fan of the actors though, except for the Queen. Tilda Swinton's portrayal was cool, pun intended. I think after discovering Narnia, I saw the girls cry in too many scenes after that. Perhaps most disturbing for me though, was Mr. Tumnus the Faun . A bit of a chee ko pek if you ask me. Dont like the way he looks at Lucy. And come on...." come back to my place for some tea and cookies?" Anyone else hear alarm bells?
Anyway, we're in the midst of designing our own wardrobes. Watch this space then.

Very disturbing. Say...Didn't you have a website where you posted nude photos of yourself once...what was it?
www.discovermymiddleearth.com or something?
Seriously though, get down to updating "someone stole mudgod" so we can live all vicariously through your life.
The MUNCHKIN has spoken.
